Ideate Weekly #1: Product Updates & GDC Recap!
published: Apr 7, 2025

Hey Ideate Creators! Welcome to the very first edition of Ideate Weekly! 🎉
We're thrilled to launch this newsletter as your go-to source for all things ideate.xyz. Each week, we'll be diving into the latest product updates, sharing tips, highlighting community happenings (when available!), and giving you a sneak peek at what's coming next. Our goal is to keep you informed and help you get the most out of our creative suite.
Let's jump right into the exciting new features and improvements we've recently rolled out:
✨ What's new in ideate.xyz?
We've been hard at work enhancing your 3D creation experience. Check out these powerful updates:
Model Generation
- Multi-Image Upload for AI Models: Take your AI model generation to the next level! You can now upload multiple images when using our AI-to-Model pipeline, ensuring your models look great from all angles.
- Vastly Improved Asset Preview: We've supercharged the asset preview speed! You can now also toggle between three essential display modes: Texture, Solid, and Wireframe, giving you faster feedback and better insight into your generated assets.
Texture Painter
- Adjustable Texture Layers: Gain fine-grained control over your textures! Layers in the Texture Painter now come with adjustable properties like Opacity, Exposure, Hue/Saturation/Lightness (HSL), and more. Perfect for non-destructive editing and fine-tuning your look.
- Import/Export Individual Texture Layers: Need to work on a specific layer externally or bring one in? You can now easily import and export individual texture layers, streamlining your workflow between ideate.xyz and other tools.
- New Dedicated Paint Layer (Base Color + Opacity): We've added a versatile Paint Layer that works directly with Base Color and Opacity. This is ideal for quickly filling in any gaps or imperfections in AI-generated textures or for manually painting details to guide the AI generation process more effectively.
